"Perivoli" is a beautiful and peaceful complex of stone buildings, which is situated in the property of the Sifnian poet Ioannis Griparis, which dates from the end of 1800. With its thick stone walls and traditional architectural elements, such as arches and panostrias (traditional fireplaces where they used to cook in the old days), it is a characteristic example of the traditional passive bioclimatic architecture, with spaces that stay cool even in the hottest summer days.
Around the unit there is a rich garden of two an a half stemmas, with all the seasonal goods, such as eggplants, tomatoes, peppers, zucchinis, celery, parsley and whatever more you may think, as well as an area with fructiferous trees, such as lemon-trees, pear-trees, apricot-trees and plum-trees. Our fruits and vegetables are totally biological, without the use of pesticides and fertilizers, from local seeds, cultivated according to traditional techniques and they are all to be consumed! As visitors of the “Perivoli” unit you are free to cut and eat all that you want!
Enjoy the thick shadow of the pergolas and their juicy grapes that you can cut and eat.
"Perivoli" is situated at a nodal point, on the borders of the villages Ano Petali, Artemonas and Apollonia. Therefore, within 5 minutes on foot, following the picturesque alleys with the flowery yards, you shall get to Apollonia or to Artemonas, where you will find restaurants, cafés, confectioneries, shops etc.
The family runs also a farm with many animals (chickens, rabbits, sheeps, goats and cows). We can arrange a visit in the farm, upon request.
